Brochure, mobile app, and collectible pin concept for an architectural tour that spotlights fascinating and under-appreciated locations across London. Six symbols were created to represent the stops on the tour based on visuals that could be found at each specific site.
The chosen color palette and overall design concept of Hidden Gems emerged from several word associations. “Gems” led to diamonds, diamonds led to shimmering, shimmering led to stars, stars led to the sky, and the sky led to clouds. The activity of cloud watching ultimately inspired the decision to use imagery of floating shapes that resemble real-life entities through the eyes of observers.
